The Tampa Bay Masters is honored to serve as the new home of Masters Basketball USA's Hall of Fame.
In 2016, the founders and Board & Directors of Masters Basketball USA and the JAX Masters - Dr. William Bosworth, Sam Jones, Mrs. Wanda Bosworth, Artis Gilmore and Steve Tutson - passed along the reins of the annual event that they expertly ran in North Florida for 31 years to the 501c3 Tampa Bay Masters.
In addition to their annual masters basketball tournament, the principals of the JAX tournament generously presented the Tampa Bay Masters Organizing Committee the oversight of the Masters Basketball USA Hall of Fame that the group formally commenced in 2012.
The Tampa Bay Masters Organizing Committee recognizes the privilege of continuing, and even augmenting, the original vision of the tournament founders and is honored to carry on the tradition of managing both the annual tournament and the prestigious Hall of Fame.
The Masters Basketball USA Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding individuals, team organizers and valuable contributors who have helped masters basketball develop, expand and prosper in the USA and internationally.
The Board of Directors of the 501c3 Masters Basketball USA formally launched its sports federation’s Hall of Fame in 2012.
